The English National Opera is the national opera company dedicated to one simple aim: creating extraordinary encounters with opera, on stage and beyond.
The Work
In 2023, iC2 was appointed by The English National Opera, the Coliseum to upgrade the CCTV system and install additional CCTV cameras within the Coliseum.
The Challenge
A key part of the design was covering the main auditorium with 8K CCTV cameras to give the best coverage possible.
The site is a Grade 1 listed building, this required iC2 to work with the architects to meet the requirements of a listed building while providing discreet placement of the cameras.
The Result
iC2 transformed The English National Opera security system into a powerful and easy to use network, enabling them to efficiently and effectively monitor all critical areas while providing a safe environment for the public.
