iC2 CCTV Security Specialists have recently completed an installation upgrade to the school security system they first installed six years ago at The Priory School, a mixed secondary comprehensive in Lewes, East Sussex.
With the original CCTV system still running well, the school decided to invite iC2 back to undertake the upgrade. As the school’s needs have changed, they wanted to relocate the existing two MIC 1 pan, tilt and zoom cameras as well as installing new Samsung internal cameras to cover the internal walkways.
The original DVR was replaced by two of the Videoswitch’s VI range and in turn synchronised with the Rugby Clock via GPS.
iC2 also added external day/night IR sensitive cameras to square off blind spots and the entire system sits on the LAN for monitoring purposes. Additional cabling was installed for the next phase of cameras.
Commenting on the installation, school bursar Ian Fines said: “I have found iC2 completely professional in providing us with a system that produces such excellent results. I would have no hesitation in recommending iC2 to any other educational establishment and would be quite happy to demonstrate our system to others considering a similar system.”
