AB Agri is Britain’s leading manufacturer of pig and poultry compound feed. It provides products and complementary solutions to livestock industries and is part of the international agriculture, food, ingredients and retail group, Associated British Foods, which employs 96,000 in 44 countries worldwide.
In 2013, iC2 was appointed by AB Agri in Northallerton, County Durham to design and install a total security solution for its site. The system had to adhere to AB Agri’s health and safety requirements and allow better monitoring of the site by using cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions.
A key part of the design was securing gates and doors sitewide and connecting them to one easy to manage system. iC2 installed Paxton proximity readers onto automated gates and introduced controlled doors to the site, allowing AB Agri better and safer control of all its doors and sites.
In order to help AB Agri keep track of vehicles entering and exiting the building, iC2 installed high definition CCTV cameras to the site to ascertain automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) for vehicles entering the site. Images recorded on these new cameras used Avigilon’s state-of-the-art platform to deliver mega pixel quality footage with no compression loss.
iC2 transformed AB Agri, Northallerton’s security system into a powerful and easy to use network, enabling them to efficiently and effectively monitor all vehicles and personnel on site round the clock.
“From the outset, Ic2 demonstrated an in depth understanding of our site requirements. They have delivered an extremely effective solution, with minimal disruption to our busy working site. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to any organisation”
